Welcome to the Durham Hockey Institute

The sole mission of the Durham Hockey Institute is to give kids all we have to offer. By devoting quality time and much effort, young players will become the hockey players that they want to be. Also, by equipping ourselves with state-of-the-art facilities and staff who know the fundamentals of hockey, we will always have a competitive advantage over any other hockey school.

After sending your child to our hockey school, we are sure that you will not have any doubts that this is the right place for you.

Congratulations to DHI Alumnus, Dalton Smith,
for being drafted 34th overall by the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Dalton Smith
  • Dalton's father, Derrick, played 10 seasons in the NHL and
went to a pair of Stanley Cup Finals with the
    Philadelphia Flyers in the 1980's.
  • His uncle, Keith Primeau, was the third pick of the 1990
Entry Draft and played 15 seasons with the Red Wings, Whalers, Hurricanes and the Flyers.
  • Another uncle is Toronto Maple Leafs forward Wayne
Primeau, who just finished his 15th NHL Season.
  • Dalton spends his summer skating with Wayne Primeau,
while Keith Primeau runs the drills.
